Blue Stripe Cotton Oxford Cloth Pocket Button-Down Shirt
This is a striped take on the oxford cloth button-down, the shirt Drake's treats as central to its range. The idea draws on a long tradition of soft-collared oxford shirts. It is cut to a regular silhouette in Italy, with a rolled button-down collar, a single buttoned flap pocket and a box pleat at the back. It suits wear with a tie and jacket as well as more casual dress.

Blue and White Striped Oxford Cloth
We chose a striped Proper Cloth oxford in blue and white as the nearest match to the original's striped oxford ground. We set a soft ivy button-down collar, a single flap pocket, a one-button barrel cuff, a front placket and mother of pearl buttons to follow the Drake's details. The cloth available is heavier than the original's midweight oxford and lacks its navy stripe, and Proper Cloth's own options led us to a split yoke and a shallow curved hem, which the original's listing does not specify.
A heavyweight oxford woven from Pima cotton in 40s two-ply yarns, with a substantial but not thick hand. It carries a blue and white multi stripe and is described as resilient, softening with repeated washing and wear.
