Olive Irish Linen Tailored Jacket
Drake's cuts this single-breasted jacket from an olive linen that is woven and dyed in Ireland, and offers it with matching trousers as a summer suit. It follows the house pattern for soft tailoring: an unstructured body, a natural shoulder, a three-roll-two front and patch pockets, made up in Italy with half-canvas and no lining. A Barchetta breast pocket and twin front darts give it a conventional look, while double vents and a small ticket pocket add some practical use. It can be worn as a suit in warm weather, or on its own as an odd jacket.

Drago Sage Wool and Linen Hopsack Bedford Jacket
We chose a muted green linen and wool hopsack from Drago because it is the closest solid green in Proper Cloth's range, with an open weave and a light, dry surface suited to warm weather. We matched the soft half-canvas, unlined make, the three-roll-two notch lapel, the patch pockets, the twin rear vents and the dark brown horn buttons. Proper Cloth does not offer pure Irish linen in this shade, so we took a linen-rich blend at a slightly heavier weight. The cuffs are made with working kissing buttons, where Drake's uses a sham cuff.
A hopsack of 60% linen and 40% wool, woven by Drago, a family-owned mill in Biella, at about 270 g. It is a soft sage green with gentle, low-contrast tonal variation and only a faint linen slub. The wool gives it more body and less creasing than pure linen.
