Green Velvet Double-Breasted Tailored Jacket
Drake's double-breasted jacket takes a long-established tailoring form and cuts it in a deep bottle green cotton velvet. It is built in the house's soft cut, with a natural shoulder, no lining and a peak lapel with a slight belly, and is made in Italy. The six-button front, patch pockets and boat-shaped breast pocket give it a relaxed character, so it suits evening dress as well as plainer, more casual clothes.

Pine Stretch Corduroy Waverly Jacket
Proper Cloth offers no cotton velvet in this colour, so we chose a heavy Italian corduroy in pine, a dark green with a similar soft pile and depth. We matched the main details: six buttons fastening two, peak lapels, no lining, a soft half-canvassed build and mother of pearl buttons with four kissing buttons at the cuff. The jacket as made has jetted pockets rather than patch pockets, which gives it a cleaner front than the original.
This is a 14-wale stretch cotton corduroy woven in Italy, weighing about 426 g. It is heavy, with a soft, velvety hand and a good drape. The colour is a solid dark pine green, and the small amount of elastane gives it a little extra give.
