Green Velvet Double-Breasted Blazer
This is a double-breasted blazer in dark green cotton velvet, made in Italy and cut to Drake's soft house pattern. It follows the long tradition of velvet evening and smoking jackets but uses a lighter tailored structure, with a natural shoulder and wide peak lapels that curve gently. The six-button front fastens on two, and the welted pockets and mother of pearl buttons keep it tidy. It is meant to sit between formal and relaxed dress and suits evening occasions as well as cooler days.

Pine Stretch Corduroy Waverly Jacket
Proper Cloth offers no cotton velvet in a comparable green, so we chose a pine corduroy, the nearest cotton pile cloth with a similar soft hand and depth of colour. We kept the six-button double-breasted front, the peak lapels, the jetted hip pockets, the mother of pearl buttons and the four-button cuff, and we specified soft half-canvassed construction to keep the natural, lightly structured line. The cloth includes a little elastane, which is within our tolerance. The lining choices from the available options came out dark brown rather than the original's green.
A 14-wale cotton corduroy woven in Italy, with 2% elastane for a little give, at a heavy 426 g. It is a solid pine green with a soft, velvety pile and a good drape. It is a cold-weather cloth that softens with wear.
