Navy Wool-Cotton Twill Tailored Jacket
This is a single-breasted navy jacket cut as one half of a suit, though it is just as suited to wear on its own. It follows the house's usual tailoring: a natural shoulder, a gently shaped waist and a soft, fully canvassed chest that is shaped by hand. The collar and sleeves are attached by hand and the back carries only a partial lining, so the jacket stays light and moves easily. It can be worn with its matching trousers or with odd trousers.

Navy Twill Flannel Thompson Jacket
We looked for a plain navy wool twill of similar weight that would keep the original's quiet, solid look. We chose a Dino Filarte twill flannel because it matched the colour, weave and weight most closely, although it has a slight brushed finish where the original is drier. We set a soft full canvas, a three-roll-two notch lapel, a centre vent, flap pockets with a ticket pocket, dark brown horn buttons and four kissing buttons on each cuff. Proper Cloth offers a quarter lining, which we used in place of the original's partial back lining.
A solid navy twill in pure wool by Dino Filarte, woven in China at about 320 g. It is dense and warm with a smooth face that has been lightly brushed, which gives it a soft flannel hand. It is a cloth for autumn and winter.
