Ecru Cotton-Linen Games Blazer Mk. IV
The Games Blazer Mk. IV is a single-breasted jacket that keeps the outline of a tailored coat but takes out its structure, leaving a soft, generous shape meant for casual dress. It is made in Italy from a yarn-dyed cotton-linen twill chosen for its plain, slightly old-fashioned look and the way it creases. The design adds more pockets than usual, embroidered eyelets and mother of pearl buttons, and it is intended to be worn often and allowed to soften and wrinkle with use.

Beige Irish Linen Bedford Jacket
We chose a solid beige Irish linen to stand in for the ecru, keeping the pale, undyed colour and the creased, textured surface; Proper Cloth did not offer a matching cotton-linen twill. We set the jacket to be unlined and uncanvassed, with a 3-roll-2 notch lapel, patch pockets with flaps and mother of pearl buttons, to match the soft build of the original. Where the options differed, we took side vents and Proper Cloth's standard interior pockets, and the original's extra mid-level pocket and lapel eyelet were not reproduced.
A 100% linen plain weave from Baird McNutt in Northern Ireland, a mill working since 1798, in a solid beige. At about 400 g it is a heavy linen with a smooth yet textured hand and a full drape; it breathes well and creases readily, as linen does.
