Navy Wool-Mohair Double-Breasted Travel Blazer
This is a double-breasted navy blazer intended for travel and warm weather, cut in Drake's house shape and made in Italy. It is built without a lining, with a soft natural shoulder and peak lapels given a gentle belly, so the jacket keeps the lines of a formal double-breasted coat but sits loosely. The cloth is a wool and mohair fresco chosen to resist creasing in a suitcase. It is meant to work either with a tie or with jeans.

Double Breasted Reda Navy Hopsack Bedford Jacket
We chose Reda's navy merino hopsack because, like the original's fresco, it is a plain navy open weave of similar weight that breathes and recovers well from creasing. We set the front to six buttons on two with peak lapels, left the body unlined over a soft half-canvas, and used patch pockets to match the original's casual pocketing. Proper Cloth does not offer a wool and mohair fresco, so the hopsack stands in for it. We used mother of pearl buttons rather than brass crest buttons, and the original's patch ticket pocket is not part of this build.
A pure merino wool hopsack from the Italian mill Reda, in Super 110s yarn at about 270 g. It is a solid navy with a slightly textured, open basket weave that looks a little like linen. It breathes well in the heat and resists wrinkling.
