Navy Velvet Double-Breasted Tailored Jacket
Drake's makes this double-breasted jacket in Italy from dark navy cotton velvet. It belongs to the long tradition of the relaxed double-breasted coat, softened here by the house cut. It has a natural shoulder and no lining, so it drapes rather than holding a rigid shape. It is meant to be worn easily as a separate, not kept for formal occasions.

VBC S150s Navy Wool Cashmere Flannel
We chose a solid navy wool and cashmere flannel from Vitale Barberis Canonico. Its brushed surface and depth of colour are the closest Proper Cloth offers to the soft, light-absorbing face of velvet. We matched the six-button double-breasted front with peak lapels, the unlined soft construction, mother of pearl buttons and four-button cuffs. Proper Cloth's design here uses jetted pockets, so the patch pockets, ticket pocket and barchetta breast pocket of the original are not reproduced.
An S150s wool flannel with 7% cashmere, woven by Vitale Barberis Canonico in Italy at around 310 g. It is made from mélange yarns, which give the solid navy a faintly marbled depth, and it is brushed to a soft hand. The cloth is substantial enough to keep its shape through the day.
