Ecru Linen Double-Breasted Tailored Jacket
Drake's makes this double-breasted jacket in ecru linen. It belongs to the house's tailored line, which is cut closer to the body than the Games tailoring. The double-breasted blazer has long been a staple of the tailored wardrobe, and this one is softer than most: half-canvassed in Italy, with a natural shoulder and a lapel that curves slightly at the peak. It is intended as an easy summer jacket that can be dressed up or worn more casually.

Natural Beige Irish Linen Bedford Jacket
We chose a solid natural beige Irish linen from Baird McNutt because it has the pale colour and irregular slubbed texture of the ecru original. We set the jacket to match in the main points: soft half-canvas construction, six buttons in a double-breasted layout with peak lapels, patch hip pockets, brown horn buttons and a four-button cuff. The available cloth is heavier than the lightweight original, and the made-up design lists plain patch pockets with no ticket pocket, so this version has two hip pockets rather than Drake's three-pocket arrangement.
A pure linen plain weave from Baird McNutt, a mill in Northern Ireland founded in 1798. The colour is a solid natural beige with some tonal variation, and the weave is visibly irregular. It is medium to heavy in weight, with a soft, textured hand, and like any linen it breathes well and will crease with wear.
