Sand Tussah Silk Double-Breasted Tailored Jacket
A double-breasted blazer in raw spun tussah silk, made in Italy to the house's soft tailored pattern. It belongs to the relaxed, warm-weather side of the double-breasted tradition, where the jacket is treated as casual tailoring rather than formal dress. The slub of the silk gives the surface its character, while patch pockets and an unpadded shoulder keep the line easy. It is meant to be worn open or buttoned with odd trousers in fair weather.

Natural Brown Irish Linen Bedford Jacket
We looked for a solid, textured neutral that would carry the irregular surface of tussah silk and chose a natural brown Irish linen from Baird McNutt, whose slightly uneven weave gives a comparable slub. We set the jacket as a six-button double-breasted model with soft half-canvas construction, patch pockets and light brown horn buttons to follow the original. The linen is heavier than the silk, and the design as made uses a peak lapel rather than the original's bellied notch lapel.
A plain-weave 100% linen from the Irish mill Baird McNutt, at 340 g it is a medium to heavy weight with a smooth yet textured hand. The mid-tone natural brown is solid but shows gentle variation from the slightly irregular yarns, and like all linen it breathes well and will crease with wear.
