Ecru and Red Windowpane Check Games Blazer Mk. IV
The Games Blazer Mk. IV is a single-breasted linen jacket from the Games family, a line built around informal, practical and durable tailoring that still keeps some polish. This version is distinguished by four patch-flap pockets on the front, which give it a utilitarian air. Its notch lapels are cut a little wider than usual as a nod to the 1970s, and it closes with one button through a working keyhole buttonhole. Made in Italy without lining or structure, it is intended for warm weather, either with tailored trousers or worn more casually.

Natural Beige Irish Linen Bedford Jacket
We chose a pure linen cloth from Baird McNutt in natural beige because it is close to the ecru ground of the original and has a similar dry, slubby linen character. Proper Cloth did not offer a matching ecru and red windowpane, so we went with a plain colour and gave up the overcheck. We set the jacket unlined, unstructured and ventless, with patch-flap pockets and light brown horn buttons to keep the soft, utilitarian build. The front was made with two buttons where the original has one.
A 100% Irish linen plain weave from Baird McNutt, a mill that has been weaving since 1798, in natural beige with tonal variation and a slightly irregular, textured surface. It is listed as medium heavyweight and has a soft hand and the easy drape typical of linen. Like any linen it will crease readily and soften with wear.
