Ecru Irish Linen Tailored Jacket
Drake's cut this jacket in Irish linen, woven and dyed in Ireland to the house's own specification, and made it up in Italy. It follows the house tailoring style: an unstructured, unlined body on a half canvas, a soft natural shoulder and a three-roll-two front. Patch pockets, a Barchetta breast pocket and double vents make it a relaxed jacket, while twin front darts keep the shape conventional. It is sold on its own and as part of a matching suit for warm weather.

Natural Beige Irish Linen Bedford Jacket
We chose a natural beige Irish linen from Baird McNutt because it matches the original's fibre and origin, and its tonal variation and slightly irregular plain weave come close to the ecru cloth's texture. We set the jacket half canvassed and unlined, with a three-roll-two notch lapel, patch pockets, side vents and light brown horn buttons to follow the Drake's construction and silhouette. Proper Cloth's version has working kissing buttons at the cuff where Drake's uses a sham cuff, and the cloth is listed as heavier than the original's lightweight linen.
A pure linen plain weave from Baird McNutt, the Irish mill working since 1798. It is natural beige with tonal variation and a visibly irregular slubbed surface, and it has a soft, textured hand. Proper Cloth lists it as medium to heavy in weight; it breathes and drapes as linen does, and it will crease with wear.
