Black and White Houndstooth Check Shetland Tweed Blazer
This is a single-breasted sport coat in Shetland tweed, woven in a small houndstooth that reads as black and white at a distance and shows earthy brown tones up close. The houndstooth is an old country check, and here it is cut in Drake's tailored block, which is closer and more shaped than the house's Games tailoring. The jacket is made in Italy with a half canvas, an unlined body and a soft natural shoulder. It is meant to sit somewhere between country and town, worn with flannels or heavier cotton trousers.

Grey Houndstooth Italian Flannel Bedford Jacket
We looked for a wool houndstooth with real contrast and a substantial winter weight, and chose a brushed Italian flannel from Lanificio Angelico. Proper Cloth offered no Shetland tweed in a comparable check, so the texture comes from the brushed nap rather than from a rough tweed, and the colouring moves from black, white and brown to several greys. We kept the construction and front as close as possible: soft half canvas, unlined body, two-button notch lapel, patch pockets and dark horn buttons.
A dense pure wool flannel woven by Lanificio Angelico in Italy, brushed to a soft, napped hand and of medium heavy weight for autumn and winter. The houndstooth is made of several shades of grey with fairly high contrast, which gives it a slightly casual look and makes it easy to pair with solid or patterned trousers.
