Grey Chalkstripe Wool Flannel Tailored Jacket
Drake's takes the chalkstripe, a pattern long tied to the business suit, and puts it into a softer jacket in its house manner. The jacket is cut from brushed wool flannel and made in Italy. It is half-canvassed and unlined, with a natural shoulder, a three-roll-two front and patch pockets, which makes it less formal than the cloth usually suggests. It is cut closer than the brand's Games tailoring and can be worn alone or as part of a suit with matching trousers.

VBC Grey Chalkstripe Wool Flannel Downing Jacket
We chose a grey chalkstripe merino flannel from Vitale Barberis Canonico because it gives the brushed, soft surface and the spaced white stripe of the original. We set the construction to match: soft half-canvas, an unlined body, a three-roll-two notch lapel, patch pockets and dark horn buttons. Proper Cloth's cuffs come with working buttons, so we chose four kissing buttons in place of Drake's three sham ones. The cloth is listed as a little heavier than the original's midweight flannel.
The cloth is a merino wool flannel woven by Vitale Barberis Canonico in Biella. It is a medium heavyweight cloth with a brushed, slightly fuzzy face, grey with a white chalkstripe, and is meant for autumn and winter wear.
