Green Tussah Silk Double-Breasted Evening Jacket
Drake's evening jacket takes the double-breasted shape of black tie dress and cuts it in tussah silk rather than the usual barathea or wool. The idea is to keep the formality of evening tailoring while giving the cloth a more textured, less uniform surface. It is built on the house's soft silhouette, with a natural shoulder and peak lapels, and is meant for evening occasions that call for something less strict than a conventional dinner jacket.

Reda S110s Forest Green Wool Hopsack
We could not find a comparable green tussah silk among Proper Cloth's cloths, so we chose a fine Reda merino hopsack in a forest green that comes close to the original's shade and has a visible texture of its own. We matched the main lines of the jacket: six-button double-breasted front with peak lapels, patch pockets, mother of pearl buttons, a four-button cuff and soft half-canvassed construction with a full lining. Proper Cloth's configuration does not list a barchetta breast pocket or a ticket pocket, and the lining is a dark brown rather than cupro, so in those places the version follows Proper Cloth's own options.
An Italian Reda hopsack woven from S110s merino wool at about 280 g, a medium weight with a smooth, fluid hand. The weave is finer than a classic hopsack, and the mottled forest green yarns read as a small speckle across a solid ground. Merino of this kind resists creasing and wears comfortably over a wide range of temperatures.
