Navy Linen Blazer
Drake's single-breasted navy blazer is a lightweight summer jacket in open-weave linen from a mill in Biella. It is cut to the house pattern, with a soft natural shoulder, light waist suppression and the broad, full-bellied lapel that Drake's uses throughout its tailoring. Made in Italy with a full canvas, a hand-shaped chest, hand-set collar and sleeves and a loose lining across the back, it is built to sit easily and is meant to be worn as readily with jeans as with odd trousers.

Spence Bryson Faded Navy Irish Linen Waverly Jacket
We chose a solid faded navy Irish linen from Spence Bryson for its washed, uneven colour and dry linen texture, which come close to the slubby surface of the original. We matched the soft full canvas, the three-roll-two notch lapel and the mother-of-pearl buttons. Proper Cloth's version has patch pockets, so the jacket has no flap pockets, ticket pocket or barchetta breast pocket. We chose a quarter lining, which keeps the back light in the same spirit as the original's loose lining, and kissing buttons at the cuff in place of a spaced arrangement.
A pure linen in plain weave from Spence Bryson, a firm that has woven linen in Ireland since the eighteenth century. At around 400 g it is a substantial cloth with plenty of body, washed to a faded solid navy, and it softens with wear, settling into loose folds rather than sharp creases.
