Navy Linen Tailored Jacket
Drake's navy linen jacket is a single-breasted summer jacket, cut as part of a suit and made in Italy. It follows the house silhouette, with a soft natural shoulder, gentle waist shaping and a 3-roll-2 front. The jacket is fully canvassed with a hand-shaped chest, and the collar and sleeves are attached by hand. A buggy lining keeps the back light. It is meant to be worn with its matching trousers or on its own with other tailored separates through the warmer months.

Spence Bryson Faded Navy Irish Linen Waverly Jacket
We chose a solid navy Irish linen from Spence Bryson. It has the dry, irregular surface of the Florentine cloth, though it is a heavier and washed version of it. We set the jacket to match the original's build: soft full canvas, a 3-roll-2 notch lapel, flap hip pockets with a ticket pocket, four-button cuffs, dark brown horn buttons and a quarter lining in place of the buggy lining. Proper Cloth did not offer a lighter navy linen with the same rustic character, so we accepted a heavier cloth with a faded, washed tone instead of the original's deeper navy.
The cloth is a pure linen plain weave from Spence Bryson, an Irish linen weaver of long standing. It weighs about 400 g and is washed to a faded navy. It has a full, substantial body that holds its own shape, and with wear it softens and falls into relaxed folds instead of sharp creases.
