Dark Grey Fresco® Wool Tailored Jacket
Drake's single-breasted jacket in dark grey fresco is built on the house cut, with a three-roll-two button stance, a soft natural shoulder and gentle shaping at the waist. It is fully canvassed with a hand-shaped chest, and the collar and sleeves are attached by hand, so the coat follows the body as it moves. The lapels are cut wide with a full belly, and the breast pocket takes the curved Barchetta form. It is meant to be worn either as one half of a suit or on its own with odd trousers, and it is made in Italy.

Reda Charcoal Wool Hopsack Bedford Jacket
We looked for a solid charcoal cloth with a visible open texture to stand in for fresco, and chose a merino hopsack from Reda, whose basket weave gives a similarly dry, textured surface. We matched the soft full canvas, the three-roll-two notch lapel, the flap hip pockets with a ticket pocket, four-button cuffs and dark horn buttons. Proper Cloth offers no fresco here, so the hopsack is the nearest open weave available, at a lighter weight. We made the jacket half lined with side vents and dark grey linings throughout.
A charcoal grey hopsack woven by Reda in Italy from Super 110s merino wool, at about 270 g. The basket weave gives a pronounced open texture and lets air through, and the cloth is light enough to wear across most of the year.
