Brown Prince of Wales Check Linen Tailored Jacket
Drake's single-breasted jacket in a small brown Prince of Wales check, cut from a 7.3oz pure linen woven in Biella and made in Italy. The pattern comes from the glen checks of country tailoring, here worked in a light summer cloth. The jacket is built on a full canvas with a hand-shaped chest, a soft natural shoulder, gentle waist suppression and a buggy lining, with a 3-roll-2 front and broad, full-bellied notch lapels. It is sold as part of a suit, so it can be worn with its matching trousers or on its own as a separate.

Cerruti Brown Glen Plaid Cotton and Linen Jacket
We chose a Cerruti glen plaid in warm browns because it comes closest to the colour and small-scale check of the original, though the only suitable option was a linen and cotton blend rather than pure linen. We matched the main construction and details: a soft full canvas, a three-two roll notch lapel, flap pockets with a ticket pocket, dark brown horn buttons and kissing cuff buttons. Proper Cloth does not offer a buggy lining under that name, so we chose a quarter lining, which keeps the back similarly light and open.
A glen plaid twill from Lanificio Cerruti in Italy, about two thirds linen and one third cotton, at around 340 g. It feels dry and cool, as high-linen cloths do, and is firmer and heavier than the original. The pattern is a brown and tan glen check, and the cloth should crease less sharply than pure linen.
