The Mk. VII is one of Drake's Games blazers, a family of jackets that sits between proper tailoring and something more casual. It is cut a little shorter and fuller than the house's tailored jackets, with no structure and a natural shoulder, so it wears more like a soft overshirt than a formal coat. This version is made up in Harris Tweed, a cloth chosen for its durability and for the way it softens and gains character with years of wear. It is intended as an everyday jacket for most weather and most occasions.

Loro Piana Fabric Brown Glen Plaid Flannel Hudson Jacket
Harris Tweed is not offered, so we chose a Loro Piana glen plaid flannel in brown, which keeps the colour family and the large check with overcheck while giving a softer, smoother surface. We kept the build light to match the Games cut: no canvas, unlined body, lined sleeves, ventless back, notch lapels and dark brown horn buttons. Proper Cloth's Hudson jacket comes with a two-button front and patch pockets with flaps, so we accepted those in place of the original's single button and flap hip pockets.
A brown glen plaid flannel from Loro Piana in Italy, woven as a twill from wool with small amounts of cashmere and silk, at about 290 g. It has a soft, brushed hand and a muted check, and it will wear smoother and drape more readily than a woollen-spun tweed.
