Black Linen Games Mk. V Dinner Jacket
The Mk. V Games jacket from Drake's in black linen is a double-breasted dinner jacket built on the house's casual Games pattern. It brings evening dress together with the generous patch pockets and soft, unlined make of a summer blazer, so the piece sits between formal and informal. A cotton sateen facing on the peak lapels gives the dinner jacket reference. It is made in Italy and is meant to be worn with the matching Games dinner trouser as a relaxed version of the dinner suit.

Black Irish Linen Bedford Jacket
We chose a solid black Irish linen in plain weave from Baird McNutt, which keeps the matt, slightly irregular surface of the original's linen. We set the jacket as an unstructured, uncanvassed, unlined six-button double-breasted model with peak lapels, patch pockets, a ventless back and dark horn buttons to follow the Drake's cut. Proper Cloth's specification as made does not include a contrasting sateen lapel facing, so the lapels are in the self cloth. The cloth chosen is also heavier than the lightweight original.
A 100% linen plain weave from Baird McNutt, the Irish linen mill dating from 1798, at 340 g, a medium heavy weight. It is a solid black with a silky but textured hand, and the slight irregularity of the yarn shows as faint tonal variation. Like all linen, it breathes well and creases readily with wear.
