Brown Tussah Silk Double-Breasted Tailored Jacket
Drake's brown double-breasted jacket takes the classic double-breasted blazer and gives it an easy, unstructured character. It is cut in the house's soft tailored pattern from raw spun tussah silk, whose natural slubs give the surface a dry, uneven texture. The jacket fastens on a six-button front with a slightly bellied peak lapel and has a soft natural shoulder, patch hip pockets with a patch ticket pocket and a barchetta breast pocket. It is made in Italy with half-canvas construction and is meant to be worn casually as well as dressed up.

Drago Chestnut Wool and Linen Hopsack Bedford Jacket
We could not find a raw tussah silk among Proper Cloth's cloths, so we chose a chestnut linen and wool hopsack from Drago that has a similar warm brown colour and a quiet, uneven surface. We matched the main points of the jacket: a soft half-canvassed build, a six-button double-breasted front with peak lapels, patch pockets, light brown horn buttons and four kissing buttons on each cuff. Proper Cloth's design record does not list a patch ticket pocket or a barchetta breast pocket, so this version has patch pockets without those two Drake's details.
A hopsack woven by Drago in Biella from 60% linen and 40% wool, weighing about 270 g. It is a solid chestnut brown with small variations in tone. The linen adds a subtle texture and breathes well in warm weather, and the wool helps the jacket keep its shape.
