Olive Textured Cotton Flat Front Chino
A flat-front chino in olive cotton twill, cut from a 9.5oz Italian cloth with a soft, peachy surface and made in Portugal. The shape looks back to mid-century trousers, with a high rise that sits just above the hip and a full leg that narrows gently below the knee. Side adjusters are fitted alongside the belt loops, a nod to the working origins of the chino, and inside there is a French bearer. It is meant as a plain, dependable trouser for wear through the year.

Di Sondrio Pine Stretch Chinos
We chose a solid green cotton twill from Tessuti di Sondrio as the closest match among Proper Cloth's chino cloths to the olive of the original, accepting a cooler pine shade. We set the trouser with a flat front, zip fly, belt loops, a single button-through flap pocket at the back and a plain hem, and chose dark charcoal horn buttons to suit the dark button on the original. The cloth carries a small amount of elastane, which the original does not have. We could not find side adjusters among the options, so the waist relies on belt loops alone.
A twill woven by Tessuti di Sondrio, an Italian mill in the Alps, in cotton with 2% elastane for some give. It is a medium to heavy weight with a smooth, firm surface, in a plain pine green, and is intended for wear in every season.
