Olive Herringbone Twill Cotton Games Trouser
This is a pleated cotton trouser in olive herringbone twill, cut in Italy from a Japanese cloth modelled on a fabric used by the American military in the 1940s. The design mixes tailoring with utility: belt loops sit alongside side adjusters, and a fob pocket is hidden in the waistband. A high rise above the hip, a full leg and single pleats give it a mid-century shape, with the leg narrowing a little below the knee. It is meant for wear through the year and can be paired with the matching jacket as a relaxed two-piece.

Olive Reverse Sateen Faded Fatigue Pant
We chose a faded olive Japanese cotton because it comes close to the colour and military character of the original, although Proper Cloth had no herringbone twill to match. We kept the single pleats, zip fly with button fastening, belt loops and horn buttons, and added a buttoned waist tab. Proper Cloth offers neither side adjusters nor vertical front pockets, so we used side seam pockets, a standard coin pocket in place of the concealed fob and an angled flap pocket at the back.
A Japanese reverse sateen in a solid, faded olive, woven with the sateen face turned inward so the outer side has a slightly rough, matt texture. It weighs about 325 g, a little heavier than the original, and the 2% elastane gives it some stretch.
