Green Herringbone Cotton Wide Leg Flat Front Chino
A high-rise chino with a wide leg, cut from a Japanese cotton herringbone and made in Italy. Its proportions look back to mid-century trousers, but its details are plain and practical: a flat front, a button fly, belt loops and side pockets set vertically. The cloth arrives with a softened, slightly worn handle and is meant to keep improving as it is worn, which makes it an everyday casual trouser rather than a tailored one.

Olive Reverse Sateen Faded Fatigue Pant
No olive herringbone cotton was available, so we chose a faded olive reverse sateen woven in Japan. It is the nearest match in colour, origin and rugged surface, although its texture comes from the weave's face rather than a chevron. We matched the working details: flat front, button fly, belt loops, a coin pocket and a buttoned flap on the back pocket. Proper Cloth's pocket options led us to side seam pockets in place of vertical slant pockets, and to an angled flap rather than a welt with a button-through flap, and we chose chestnut horn buttons to stand in for the tortoise-effect buttons.
A Japanese reverse sateen in a faded olive, woven solid with a slightly rustic, textured face. At about 325 g it is a medium-heavy cotton with 2% elastane, which adds a little give, and it is designed to be worn hard as a casual trouser.
