Olive Textured Cotton Flat Front Chino
A flat-front chino in olive cotton twill, cut along mid-century lines with a high rise that sits just above the hip and a full, straight leg. The design takes its cue from utilitarian trousers, combining belt loops with side adjusters at the waistband so it can be worn with or without a belt. The Italian cloth is brushed for a soft handle, and the trouser is made in Portugal with an internal French bearer. It is intended as an everyday trouser that sits easily with casual and smarter clothes alike.

Olive Reverse Sateen Faded Fatigue Pant
We chose a faded olive reverse sateen from Japan because it comes close to the colour and weight of the original and has a soft, textured surface in place of the brushed twill. We set the vintage chino cut with a high rise and straight leg, a flat front, zip fly, belt loops, chestnut horn buttons and a plain hem to follow the original's shape and details. Proper Cloth offered no side adjusters or vertical side pockets in this configuration, so we kept belt loops alone and used angled side pockets with an angled button-flap back pocket.
A Japanese reverse sateen in a faded olive green, about 325 g per square metre, which puts it at a medium to heavy weight close to the original's 9.5oz. It is mostly cotton with 2% elastane for a little give, and the reverse sateen face has a subtly rough, matte texture that should soften and fade further with wear.
