Navy Mid-Wale Corduroy Single Pleat Trouser
Drake's cuts this navy corduroy trouser to its house pattern, which sits at the middle of the waist and narrows gently from the knee down. A single pleat at each front gives room through the seat and thigh. The finishing follows tailored trousers rather than casual cords: an extended front tab, side adjusters in place of belt loops and an after-dinner split at the back of the waistband. It is meant to be worn through the year, with a jacket or with knitwear.

Italian Navy Corduroy 5-Pocket Pant
We chose a solid navy Italian corduroy in pure cotton, close to the original in colour and wale, though noticeably heavier. We matched the single pleats, the extended tab that buttons through, the zip fly with a button fastening and the dark horn buttons, and kept the pockets set into the side seams. Proper Cloth's chino pattern comes with belt loops rather than side adjusters, so we used loops, and the trouser is hemmed to length rather than left unfinished.
A heavy 100% cotton corduroy woven in Italy at about 525 g, with a soft, velvety 12-wale rib in solid navy. It has no stretch fibre, so it should soften and fade along the wales as it is worn.
