Grey Merino Wool Games Trouser
The Games Trouser takes its name and shape from the grey flannel trousers worn for sport and leisure in the middle of the last century. Drake's cuts it in a substantial Merino flannel woven in Huddersfield and has it made in Italy, with a high rise that sits just above the hip, a full leg and a gentle taper below the knee. Single forward pleats give room through the seat and thigh, while side adjusters and a concealed fob pocket add a practical note. It is intended as an everyday trouser for most of the year, dressed up or down as needed.

Single Pleated VBC Grey Wool Flannel Dress Pant
We chose a mid grey Merino flannel from Vitale Barberis Canonico because it matches the original in fibre, weave, colour and weight. We set single pleats, belt loops, a zip fly and dark grey horn buttons to follow the Drake's details, and added a flap coin pocket in place of the fob pocket. Proper Cloth offers a button tab rather than side adjusters, and side seam pockets rather than slanted ones, so we chose those. We left the hem plain and added a striped knee lining.
A 340 g Merino wool flannel woven by Vitale Barberis Canonico in Biella, Italy. It has a brushed, softly fuzzy surface in a mid grey with some natural variation in tone, and is a medium heavyweight cloth best suited to autumn and winter.
