Olive Cotton-Linen Herringbone Fatigue Trouser
Drake's fatigue trouser borrows its pattern from mid-century military field trousers, with reinforced pockets and riveted buttons kept as working details. The cut has a high rise that sits just above the hip, a flat front, room through the thigh and a gentle taper below the knee. It is made in Portugal from an Italian cotton and linen herringbone and is intended to be washed and worn through most of the year.

Olive Reverse Sateen Faded Fatigue Pant
We chose a faded olive reverse sateen from Japan because it comes close to the colour and weight of the original. Proper Cloth offers no cotton-linen herringbone in this shade, so the herringbone pattern and linen content are lost, and the sateen's surface texture has to carry the cloth's character instead. We set fatigue pockets at the front and a flapped fatigue pocket at the back, with a zip fly, belt loops, a flat front and copper metal tack buttons to match the riveted hardware. Coin and cargo pockets were left off, as on the original.
The cloth is a Japanese reverse sateen, a satin weave worn back side out, which gives a matte face with a slightly rough texture rather than a sheen. It is a solid faded olive in mostly cotton with 2% elastane and weighs 325 g, a medium-heavy trouser weight.
