Stone Wash 10.7oz Lightweight Denim Five-Pocket Jeans
Drake's five-pocket jeans are a lighter take on the classic work trouser, cut from a 10.7oz Italian denim dyed with natural indigo and given a stone wash before sale. The pattern sits a little higher at the waist and runs relaxed through the leg before tapering towards the hem. Slanted front pockets, copper rivets and rivets concealed inside the back pockets set them apart from more standard jeans. They are made in Portugal and intended as an easy, lighter pair for everyday wear.

Dean Stretch Relaxed Jean in Dark Wash Japanese Denim
We chose a dark wash Japanese denim at 12oz, the nearest weight Proper Cloth offers to the original's lightweight cloth, and set it in the relaxed jean cut. We matched the five-pocket layout, zip fly, belt loops and copper metal buttons, and chose gold thread to echo the original's warm contrast stitching. Proper Cloth's denim carries 2% elastane and comes in a darker wash than Drake's stone wash, and the pattern does not reproduce the slanted front pockets or hidden back rivets, so we accepted the standard jean pockets and finished the hem with a chain stitch instead.
A 12oz denim woven in Japan in a dark indigo wash, mostly cotton with 2% elastane for a small amount of give. It is a mid-weight cloth, firm enough to keep the shape of a fuller cut yet suitable for most of the year, and it should soften and fade gradually with wear.
