Cream Cotton Wide Leg Flat Front Chino
Drake's cuts this chino from a substantial 12oz Italian cotton twill in cream, finished so that it feels softened from the start. The shape takes its cue from mid-century trousers, with a high rise, a flat front and a generously wide leg. Practical details are kept to the essentials: a button fly, belt loops, vertical side pockets and a coin pocket. It is made in Portugal and intended as a sturdy everyday trouser that improves with wear.

Japanese Bone Herringbone Fatigue Pant
We chose a faded bone herringbone cotton woven in Japan, as the nearest pale, matt cotton twill with comparable heft to the original's cream cloth. We set the design to a flat front with a button fly, belt loops, pockets in the side seams, a coin pocket and a wide hem, with horn buttons standing in for the dark horn-tone buttons on the original. Proper Cloth offers only an angled flap back pocket and a besom coin pocket, so the back and coin pocket arrangement differs in form from the Drake's version, and the cloth carries a herringbone texture where the original is a plain twill.
A Japanese cotton woven in a herringbone twill at 350 g, a medium-heavy weight with a dry, textured hand. It is a faded bone colour, a soft off-white just warmer than pure white, and it reads as a solid from a distance with the herringbone visible close up. The faded finish suits a casual trouser meant to soften further with washing.
