White Linen Short Sleeve Cuban Shirt
Drake's version of the guayabera, a shirt long associated with Cuba and worn widely across Latin America in hot weather. It keeps the form's two defining features: four patch pockets and vertical pleats running down the front panels. It is cut in white linen with short sleeves and a camp collar, and made in Somerset, as a loose shirt for summer worn untucked.

Baird McNutt White Irish Linen
We chose a fine white Irish linen from Baird McNutt to match the original's solid white, lightweight plain-weave linen, with the slubby texture typical of linen. We kept the short sleeves, straight hem and mother-of-pearl buttons. Proper Cloth offers no camp collar, guayabera pleating or four-pocket front, so we used a soft point collar, a French front and a single square chest pocket. The result is a plainer short-sleeved linen shirt rather than a true guayabera.
A bright white plain-weave linen woven and finished by Baird McNutt, an Irish mill on the Kellswater River whose history goes back to 1798. It is lightweight, made from 26s yarn, and has a soft hand with linen's usual irregular texture. It breathes well in heat and creases readily with wear, as linen does.
