Navy Check Heavy Cotton Two-Pocket Work Shirt
Drake's heavy cotton work shirt takes the plain, hard-wearing shirt of outdoor work and makes it in Somerset to the standards of the firm's dress shirting. It has a spread collar, rounded one-button cuffs and two pleated chest pockets with button flaps, and is sewn with single-needle seams and finished with corozo fisheye buttons. The brushed cotton is substantial enough to wear as a light outer layer, and the shirt is meant for informal days, whether in town or outdoors.

Teton Navy Slate and Gold Ombre Flannel
We looked for a heavyweight brushed cotton flannel in a large navy-led plaid, because the weight and nap of the cloth matter most to this shirt. The closest was a navy, slate and gold plaid, which keeps the dark ground and warm accent but not the original's exact colours. We matched the spread collar, the one-button cuffs, the front placket, the two flapped chest pockets and the corozo buttons, and chose a soft construction to stand in for Drake's brushed floating interlining. Proper Cloth's pocket option has a rounded flap and its hem is a shallow curve, so those details differ slightly from the original.
A heavyweight 100% cotton flannel woven from 30s two-ply yarn and brushed on the surface, so it feels soft and warm while still letting air through. It is a detailed plaid of navy and slate shades crossed with gold, and it is heavy enough to wear over a T-shirt as an overshirt. The weaving mill is not named.
