Lilac Oxford Cotton Pyjama Set
This is the shirt half of a two-piece pyjama set, cut in lilac oxford cotton and made in Somerset, England. It follows the traditional pattern of nightwear shirts: a soft rounded collar left open at the neck, a buttoned front and patch pockets, with nothing stiff in its construction. It is sold with matching drawstring trousers and is intended for lounging and sleeping. Its plain colour and simple shape also make it wearable on its own as a relaxed shirt.

Clark Lilac Oxford Cloth
We chose a solid lilac oxford in 100% cotton because it matches the original's colour, weave and fibre directly, and the slightly mottled surface of oxford gives the same quiet texture. We used a soft one-piece collar so the neck lies open like a pyjama collar, kept mother of pearl buttons and a straight, square-cut hem, and chose a soft, unstructured finish. Proper Cloth's options led us to a French front instead of a placket, a single chest pocket instead of three patch pockets, and buttoned barrel cuffs on the long sleeves.
A heavy oxford in 100% cotton, with a fine single-ply warp crossed by a thicker two-ply weft, so it has noticeable body while staying soft and supple. It is a plain, even lilac with the slight two-tone fleck typical of oxford, and it softens and wears in well with repeated washing.
