Blue and White Stripe Cotton Long Point Collar Shirt
A striped cotton shirt made in Drake's Somerset factory from a Japanese cotton poplin. It is cut on the house casual block, which gives a loose and easy shape through the body, and it pairs a long point collar with a single flap pocket on the chest. Single-needle stitching, rounded cuffs and mother of pearl buttons keep the finish neat. The result sits between a dress shirt and a casual one, and can be worn tucked with tailoring or open over trousers at the weekend.

Thomas Mason Light Blue Bengal Stripe Broadcloth
We chose a very lightweight Thomas Mason broadcloth because its plain, close weave matches the smooth, light feel of the original poplin, and its light blue and white stripe keeps the general colour of the piece. We set a single flap pocket, front placket, one-button cuffs, a shallow curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to follow the original. Proper Cloth offered no exact long point collar or rounded cuff on this design, so we used a soft point collar and soft one-button barrel cuffs instead, and the shirt is built with a split yoke.
A 100s two-ply Egyptian cotton broadcloth woven by Thomas Mason, very light in weight with a smooth, crisp hand. It carries an even bengal stripe of light blue and white, irons up cleanly and also wears well with some creasing.
