Yellow Cotton Oxford Cloth Button-Down Shirt
This is Drake's yellow oxford cloth button-down, a shirt type that has been worn for about a hundred years and is central to the house's range. It is made at the company's own factory in Somerset, England, with a regular silhouette and single-needle seams. The collar uses a brushed, floating interlining so that it rolls softly when buttoned down. It is meant to be worn widely, from tailoring to casual clothes.

Clark Faded Yellow Oxford Cloth
We chose a solid oxford in a faded yellow because it is the nearest match to the original's colour and its plain, textured weave. We kept the essentials: a soft, unfused button-down collar, a soft front placket, a one-button cuff, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth's oxfords in this colour come in a heavy weight, so the cloth has more body than the Drake's midweight. We also used an angled chest pocket and a split yoke rather than copying the original's patch pocket and box pleat exactly.
The cloth is a heavy oxford woven from Pima cotton, with a fine single-ply warp and a heavier two-ply weft. It is a plain solid in a soft, faded yellow. It feels substantial without being thick, and it is a hard-wearing cloth that grows softer with washing.
