Light Red Cotton Oxford Cloth Button-Down Shirt

This is a button-down shirt in light red cotton oxford, a pattern whose roots go back roughly a hundred years in men's dress. Drake's treats the style as central to its range and makes it in its own factory in Somerset. The shirt has a regular cut, a collar built with a brushed floating interlining so that it rolls softly, and single-needle seams. It is meant to suit most occasions, from tailoring to jeans.

Clark Red Oxford Cloth

We chose a solid red oxford in Pima cotton because its muted, dusty shade is close to the light red of the original and its weave is a true oxford. We set a soft unlined-style button-down collar, a soft front placket, a soft one-button cuff, a rounded chest pocket, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to follow the Drake's details. Proper Cloth's cloth is a heavier oxford than the midweight original, and the shirt was made with a split yoke and no back box pleat listed, so the back is built differently.

A solid oxford woven from Pima cotton in a muted, dusty red. It is a heavy oxford with a substantial but not thick hand, and it is hard-wearing, softening with washing and wear.
