Blue and White Stripe Long Point Collar Flap Pocket Poplin Shirt
This is a blue and white striped shirt in fine cotton poplin, made in Italy and cut to a regular silhouette. It follows the classic town shirt, with a long point collar and a single buttoned flap pocket that gives it a slightly more relaxed note. The collar uses a floating interlining and the seams are sewn with a single needle, so the shirt sits softly. It works with a suit and tie on weekdays, and on its own or under a casual jacket at weekends.

Thomas Mason Blue Bengal Stripe Broadcloth
We chose a lightweight two-ply Thomas Mason broadcloth in blue and white stripes, which is close to the smooth, slightly lustrous plain weave of the original. We matched the single one-button cuff, the single flap chest pocket and the mother of pearl buttons, and we made the collar soft so it keeps the unstructured feel of a floating interlining. Proper Cloth's options led us to a soft point collar rather than Drake's long point, and to a split yoke in place of the knife-pleated back. The bengal stripe we chose is also bolder than the original's fine stripe.
This is a 100s two-ply cotton broadcloth woven by Thomas Mason. It is a light plain weave with a smooth, fine hand and is fairly opaque for its weight. The blue and white bengal stripes are evenly spaced. It presses crisp for tailored wear and also looks right when left a little rumpled.
