Tobacco Cotton Linen Games Blazer Mk. I
The Games blazer is Drake's casual jacket, cut to sit at the easy end of tailoring: a little shorter and fuller than the house's structured coats, with a boxy body and a soft natural shoulder. This Mk. I version takes as much from workwear as from tailoring. It has twin needle seams and no lining, recalling the working jackets of twentieth-century artists and craftsmen. Made in Italy from a light cotton and linen twill in tobacco, it can be worn alone or with the matching trousers as a relaxed two-piece.

Tobacco Irish Linen Bedford Jacket
We chose a solid tobacco Irish linen from Baird McNutt because it comes closest to the original's warm brown colour and dry, slubby surface. It is all linen in a plain weave rather than a cotton and linen twill, and at 400 g it is a heavier cloth. We set the details to follow Drake's: an unconstructed, unlined body, a 3-roll-2 notch lapel, a ventless back, patch and flap hip pockets, dark brown horn buttons and traveller pockets inside. Proper Cloth adds a striped sleeve lining and a brown pocket lining. We kept those because the configuration does not allow a jacket with no lining at all.
A 100% linen in a plain weave from Baird McNutt, the Irish linen mill founded in 1798, at a substantial 400 g. It is a solid tobacco brown, and the slightly irregular yarns give a quiet variation of tone. The hand is smooth but textured, and the cloth breathes and drapes as linen does, creasing readily as it is worn.
