Tan Mid-Wale Cotton Corduroy Tailored Jacket
This is a single tailored jacket in tan cotton corduroy, made in Italy and sold as one half of a matching suit. It belongs to Drake's tailored line, which is cut closer to the body than the house's Games tailoring. The make is soft: half-canvassed, with no lining in the body and a natural shoulder, so it sits between a structured coat and a casual overshirt. Its patch pockets and corduroy cloth suit it to country and weekend dress, and it can also be worn with the matching trousers.

Khaki Stretch Corduroy Waverly Jacket
We chose an Italian cotton corduroy in khaki, the nearest solid tan in a mid-weight wale that Proper Cloth offers, so that the colour and the soft ribbed surface carry across. We matched the soft half-canvas make, the unlined body, the patch pockets and the brown horn buttons that suit the cloth. Proper Cloth sets its own cuff and pocket choices, so this version has a three-button cuff and no ticket pocket or barchetta breast pocket is recorded. Its cloth also has a little elastane, which we accepted because the share is small.
An Italian 14-wale corduroy of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, in a solid khaki. At about 426 g it has real weight, with a soft, velvety pile and a slight give. Like other cotton corduroys, the pile should soften and wear at the edges over time.
