Ecru Herringbone Twill Cotton Games Blazer Mk. I
The Mk. I Games Blazer is Drake's casual single-breasted jacket, cut as much from the workwear tradition as from tailoring. Its unlined body and twin-needle seams recall the working jackets of twentieth-century artists and craftsmen. This version is made in Italy from a Japanese cotton herringbone twill modelled on a 1940s American military cloth. It has a boxy, soft-shouldered shape and is meant to be worn loosely, either alone or with the matching trousers as an informal suit.
In Proper Cloth
Stone Wool and Linen Stretch Bedford Jacket
Proper Cloth offers no cotton herringbone close to the original in colour, so we chose a stone wool and linen twill as the nearest pale, textured neutral. We set the build to match the original's ease, with no canvas, no lining, no vent and a three-roll-two notch lapel, and we added patch and flap pockets and mother of pearl buttons. The passport pockets with loop closures and the twin-needle seams are not available, so we used standard interior pockets and Proper Cloth's usual seams. The four-button kissing cuff and self-fabric melton under the collar are Proper Cloth's own finishing.
This is a medium-weight twill of about 250 g, woven by Dino Filarte and listed as made in China. It blends merino wool with 6% linen and 2% elastane. The cloth is a plain stone colour with a smooth drape, and the linen adds a slight surface texture. It is suited to warmer weather and recovers well from creasing.
