ALD / Drake's Double Breasted Club Jacket
A double-breasted club blazer made by Drake's as part of its transatlantic capsule with Aimé Leon Dore. It takes its cue from the blazers adopted by clubs and sporting teams from the mid nineteenth century onwards, set out with a six-by-two button front and an embroidered crest on the breast pocket. The jacket is cut a little closer than Drake's Games tailoring, with a soft natural shoulder, and is made unlined in Italy so that it wears easily over shirts and knitwear.

Reda Navy Italian Wool Flannel
We chose a solid navy wool flannel from Reda so that the cloth matched the original in colour, fibre and its soft, brushed surface. We set the jacket to the same pattern: six-button double-breasted front with peak lapels, unlined body, soft half-canvas construction and patch pockets. Proper Cloth's options led us to dark brown horn buttons in place of gilt metal, side vents rather than a centre vent and working four-button kissing cuffs, and the embroidered crest has no equivalent.
A brushed merino flannel woven in Italy by Reda, with a twill structure at around 290 g, giving a medium weight suited to autumn and winter. The surface is soft and slightly fuzzy, and the navy is a little lighter than a classic dark navy, with a mottled mix of paler tones that gives it a more casual look.
