Navy Velvet Double-Breasted Blazer
Drake's double-breasted blazer is a classic evening and occasion jacket, cut here in cotton velvet rather than worsted. It follows the house tailoring silhouette: soft construction, a natural shoulder and peak lapels with a gentle curve. The velvet pile catches the light, so the jacket can be worn for dressier evenings or set against plainer trousers and knitwear. It is made in Italy.

Double Breasted Navy Camelhair Jacket
Proper Cloth does not offer a cotton velvet suited to this jacket, so we chose a dark navy camel hair from Tollegno. It gives a soft, deep navy cloth with a gentle surface, although it does not have the pile or sheen of velvet. We matched the cut and finishing: a six-button double-breasted front with peak lapels, jetted hip pockets, mother of pearl buttons, four-button cuffs and a full lining. The half-canvassed construction and side vents are Proper Cloth's settings, and the original's page does not state these points either way.
A pure camel hair plain weave from Tollegno, the Italian mill, at about 385 g. It is soft, fine and slightly silky to the hand, in a solid dark navy, and is warm enough for autumn and winter without feeling heavy.
