Brown Cotton Corduroy Field Games Blazer
The Field Games Blazer belongs to Drake's Games family of jackets, which are cut a little shorter and fuller than the house's tailored coats and sit at the easier end of formal dress. This one draws on English country sporting clothes, made in Italy from a heavy vintage-style cotton corduroy. It has no lining and no structure, with patch pockets that carry a slight western cast, a throat latch at the collar, and pin buttons that come out through embroidered eyelets, in the way workwear uniforms once had detachable hardware for laundering. It is meant for the country, for travel and for casual occasions.

Khaki Stretch Corduroy Waverly Jacket
We chose a heavyweight Italian corduroy of almost the same weight, so the jacket keeps the substance and soft fall of the original, and set it up as an unstructured, unlined, ventless coat with a three-roll-two notch lapel and patch pockets. The nearest solid colour on offer was khaki rather than true brown, so the shade is lighter and warmer. Proper Cloth offers neither removable pin buttons nor a throat latch, so we chose sewn dark brown horn buttons, which are close in colour to the original's horn-effect buttons, and left the collar plain.
An Italian 14-wale corduroy of about 426 g, woven mainly from cotton with 2% elastane for a little give. It has a soft, velvety hand and real weight, comes in a plain khaki, and should soften and take on wear along the wale over time.
