Light Grey Fresco Lite® Wool Tailored Jacket
Drake's single-breasted jacket in light grey fresco is cut to be worn as half of a suit or on its own with odd trousers. It follows the house shape: a soft natural shoulder, gentle shaping at the waist and a 3-roll-2 front, with traditional lapels cut fairly wide and full in the belly. The construction is fully canvassed with a hand-shaped chest, the collar and sleeves are set by hand, and the back is lined lightly so it moves freely. The fresco is a crisp, springy, open cloth woven in Yorkshire, intended for warm weather.

Reda Grey Wool Hopsack Bedford Jacket
Proper Cloth does not offer a cloth close to this fresco, so we chose a solid grey merino hopsack from Reda. A basket weave of a similar weight and a muted, textured grey seemed the nearest substitute. We matched the construction and details where the options allowed: soft full canvas, a 3-roll-2 notch lapel, side vents, flap pockets with a ticket pocket, dark horn buttons and a four-button cuff. A half lining stands in for Drake's light buggy lining.
Reda's S110s merino wool hopsack in grey, at 270 g. It is a fine, small-scale basket weave, smoother than most hopsacks, and the grey yarns give the surface a speckled look. Merino resists creasing well and copes with a fairly wide range of temperatures.
