Grey Herringbone Harris Tweed Games Blazer Mk. VII
The Mk. VII is the woollen member of Drake's Games blazer series, a family of soft jackets cut a little shorter and fuller than the house's conventional tailoring. This version was conceived with heavier cloths in mind, so it takes a slightly more tailored line than its siblings, with lined sleeves and slanted pockets that recall the barchetta chest pocket on the house pattern. Made in grey Harris Tweed with no structure in the body, it is meant as an everyday jacket that sits at the casual end of formal dress.

Grey Herringbone Shetland Tweed Andover Jacket
We chose a grey herringbone tweed in pure Shetland wool, which comes closest to the mixed grey and ecru chevron and the rough, lofty surface of the Harris original. We set the jacket as an uncanvassed, quarter-lined, two-button notch lapel with a ventless back and brown horn buttons to match the soft build and finish of the Games blazer. Proper Cloth does not offer the slanted barchetta-style welt pockets, so we used flap pockets at the hip instead.
A dense Shetland wool tweed woven in Japan by Katori, a mill working in natural fibres since 1945. It has a clear herringbone in a blend of contrasting greys under a lightly brushed face, and at about 350 g it is a substantial cloth that should hold its shape and soften with wear.
