Navy Cotton Linen Herringbone Games Blazer Mk. III
The Games Blazer Mk. III is the double-breasted member of Drake's Games series, a line of soft tailoring that sits at the relaxed end of formal dress. It takes the cut of a classic double-breasted blazer and builds it the way one might build a chore coat: unlined, unstructured, with patch pockets and a natural shoulder. The jacket is cut a little shorter and fuller than Drake's conventional tailoring, and the herringbone cloth refers back to the blazer's military origins. It is meant as an everyday jacket that works in most weather and on most occasions.

Spence Bryson Faded Navy Irish Linen Waverly Jacket
We kept the shape of the original and changed the cloth. We set a six-button double-breasted front with peak lapels, an uncanvassed and unlined build, a ventless back and patch pockets to match the Games construction. Proper Cloth did not offer a cotton-linen herringbone in a comparable navy, so we chose a washed pure Irish linen in faded navy, which keeps the soft, lived-in character but loses the twill texture. The buttons are light brown horn, as the cream buttons of the original were not available.
A pure linen plain weave from Spence Bryson, an Irish linen weaver dating back to the eighteenth century. It is heavy at 400 g, washed to a faded navy solid, and has enough body to hold its shape without canvas. It softens with wear and creases into loose folds rather than sharp lines.
