Brown Irish Linen Tailored Jacket
A single-breasted summer jacket in solid brown Irish linen, made in Italy and also offered as half of a linen suit. Drake's had the cloth woven and dyed in Ireland to its own specification, in colours developed for warm-weather tailoring. The jacket follows the house pattern: a soft natural shoulder, a three-roll-two front, patch pockets with a ticket pocket and no body lining, cut a little closer than the Games series. A Barchetta breast pocket and twin front darts keep it conventional, and double vents and the ticket pocket add some practicality. It can be worn alone or with the matching trousers.

Coffee Irish Linen Bedford Jacket
We chose a coffee brown Irish linen from Baird McNutt because it is the closest match to the original's solid brown and its slightly uneven linen surface. We kept the soft half-canvas construction, the three-two roll notch lapel, the unlined body, patch pockets, side vents and dark brown horn buttons. Proper Cloth's version of this cloth is a heavy 400 g linen rather than a lightweight one, and its sleeves have working kissing buttons where Drake's uses a sham cuff, so we accepted both as they are.
A pure linen plain weave from Baird McNutt, an Irish linen mill founded in 1798, at a heavy 400 g. It is a solid coffee brown with the faint variations of a slightly irregular yarn, and it has a smooth but textured hand. It should drape and crease the way heavy linen does, holding its shape better than lighter linens.
