Grey Flannel Games Blazer Mk. VII
The Games blazer is Drake's relaxed take on the tailored jacket, cut a little shorter and fuller than the house's traditional tailoring so that it sits towards the easier end of formal dress. The Mk. VII version was designed around woollen cloths and leans slightly more towards tailoring than its predecessors, with lined sleeves and slanted pockets that echo the curved Barchetta breast pocket of Drake's main jacket pattern. In charcoal flannel it is intended as a practical everyday jacket, worn across seasons and occasions.

VBC Charcoal Wool Flannel Downing Jacket
We chose a solid charcoal merino flannel from Vitale Barberis Canonico, whose brushed, mottled surface comes close to the soft depth of a pure wool flannel. We set the jacket uncanvassed and unlined with a ventless back, notch lapels and brown horn buttons to match the original's soft, casual construction. Proper Cloth's options did not reproduce the slanted barchetta-style pockets, so we used patch pockets with flaps instead.
A pure merino wool flannel woven by Vitale Barberis Canonico in Biella, Italy, in a medium heavyweight with a brushed, slightly fuzzy hand. It is a solid charcoal grey with a mottled variation in tone, and suits autumn and winter wear.
