Navy Cotton Linen Games Trousers
Drake's made these trousers as the partner to its Games Blazer, so that the two can be worn together as a relaxed suit somewhere between tailoring and workwear. The shape is mid-century in spirit, with a high rise sitting just above the hip, a single forward pleat and a full leg that narrows gently below the knee. Side adjusters, belt loops and a concealed fob pocket give them a practical, utilitarian character. They are cut from a lightweight cotton and linen twill, made in Italy, and suit wear through most of the year, alone or with the matching jacket.

Modena Navy Soft Touch Stretch Twill
We looked for a solid navy twill in a cotton cloth that would keep the plain, hard-wearing character of the original, and chose a brushed Italian stretch twill. Proper Cloth did not offer a close match to the cotton and linen blend, so this cloth is softer and heavier, with a small amount of elastane. We set single pleats, belt loops, a zip fly and chestnut horn buttons to follow the original. Side adjusters and a concealed fob pocket were not among the options, so we used side seam pockets, a standard coin pocket and an angled, button-through flap back pocket instead.
An Italian navy twill of 98% cotton and 2% elastane at around 270 g, credited to Progetto Uno in the listing. The surface is lightly brushed, or peached, which gives it a soft hand and a little more warmth than a plain cotton chino twill, and the elastane allows some stretch. It is a solid colour suited to three seasons of wear.
